What you can expect from an average Sunday service

When attending for the first time, it is natural to wonder what to expect. You will be greeted with smiling faces and an invitation to make yourself at home. In the sanctuary, find a place where you are comfortable. Service starts with prayer and announcements, followed by a time for people to mingle and introduce themselves; this time flows right into the worship service.

During worship, we set aside time for the offering. This process may be a little different than you are used to. We invite everyone to come down front and lay their offering before the Lord in the collection box. Don’t worry, everyone goes right back to singing, so this is not a time to feel self-conscious, some like the imagery of bringing the offering themselves, and many give online.

This option is available through the website or via a QR code in the bulletin. When the message starts, we dismiss children from kindergarten through fifth grade to follow the children’s church leader to the classroom downstairs, and the message begins. The message is generally a series, through a book of the Bible in an expository style; they are sometimes followed by an altar call, yet, not at every service. Then we close with another song of praise to the Lord.

In a nutshell, you can expect this from an average Sunday morning service. Our dress is casual, as we believe the Lord is focused more on our hearts than on our clothes. Many of the congregation like to stay and talk awhile after service is over. In all, we want you to feel welcome and comfortable so that you can concentrate on growing in your relationship with Jesus. We look forward to welcoming you to our next service.
